LocoLarp

Movement mode

Movement mode is labeled as testing. It feeds a sequence of coordinates through Android mock location so other apps see a moving test position.

Walk or car on real roads

  1. On the map, choose Walk or Car.
  2. Tap the map to draw stops, or type start and destination in Movement mode.
  3. Tap Preview road route. LocoLarp asks an OpenStreetMap routing service (OSRM) for a path that follows streets.
  4. Keep Typical speed on to use the router’s estimated time, or turn it off and fit the trip into a custom duration.
  5. Start the run, then go back to the map. A purple line is the road path; the pin follows it.

Limits

  • Routing needs a network connection.
  • If no road path exists (water, closed area), the app says so instead of pretending to drive there.
  • Typical walk time for a long trip can be many hours. Use a custom duration if you only need a faster QA pass along the same roads.
  • Some apps ignore updates that look too regular. Keep LocoLarp in the foreground for a reliable test.
